| While using Windows 8 initially I was struggling to get the place/ command from where I can switch off/restart my computer. As start menu (to stop the computer) is no more available in Windows 8. In Windows 8 the start menu has been replaced by Metro UI. The regular way to shutdown the Windows 8 PC is to use the shortcut (Win key + I key) which will launch charming start menu setting from where you need to select the power and get the option to shut down or restart your Windows 8 machine. |  |
