SkyDrive Apps the new update by Microsoft

Before the launch of awaited Google Drive from Google Microsoft has taken another BIG step and launched the SkyDrive application for various platforms Windows, MAC, iPhones and iPad. Now accessing the files on SkyDrive cloud has become much more easier as now you can access them in the regular Windows Explorer in the way you access other files and folders and the items on your local SkyDrive folders will automatically get synchronized to the free SkyDrive

cloud storage. The SkyDrive application works in the way Similar to Drop Box. Once you download and install the software to your system you can use and access your SkyDrive files in windows explorer. You can download the free SkyDrive software from https://apps.live.com/skydrive. The app download link is available for  are various links available for Windows Phones, Windows PC, i Phones, iPad and MAC system. Default location for the SkyDrive files in your PC is C:/Users/”your username”/SkyDrive as you can see in the image below.

We would like to let you know about the another cloud storage provider ADRIVE which offers double the storage of SkyDrive which you can even check in one of my previous post by visiting Here however the features of the SkyDrive are    With the launch of the app the Microsoft is limiting the storage limit to 7 GB (see the message in image below I got when I logon to SkyDrive live) for a new user (Which is still more when compared to others as Drop Box offers 2GB of free storage while Google drive is expected to offer 5Gb of free storage) but the existing SkyDrive users can still claim and get there 25GB of storage. So if you are an existing user of this service hurry up and claim your free storage of 25GB for free before they make any further change to the offer.     Max file size limitation of 100MB* (with this app coming in picture this feature has to be tested and updated as there is no information available as such)     And as there are other features of online document editing and note creation remains the same now even the same can be done on your local system/machine also.
